identity design for Plisskën Festival 2022, Greece’s alternative & electronic music most leading Festival.
Following the Covid-19 era – a milestone date for all of us – we wanted to create a strong revival identity for the Plisskën festival. We decided to visualise an open mouth standing as the iconic image for the festival of 2022, communicating the need to speak, sing & shout without a mask, the yell of a song and a scream for passion about music.
We dressed up the identity with a strong combination of gradient colours with pink and blue shades, combined with geometric modular grids of typography. Our goal was to create a unique logotype of each musician’s name from festival’s line-up, giving an exclusive identity for each artist who was performing in Plisskën 2022.
For more than 9 years, Plisskën Festival has consistently proved itself to be one of Greece’s leading Festivals.
Exceptional programming has seen some of the world’s most iconic artists, alongside the best alternative and up and coming talent including legendary headliners Giorgio Moroder, Floating Points, Quantic, Jungle, The Black Madonna, Hunee, Peter Bjorn and John, Tinariwen, Mogwai, Mulatu Astatke, Death in Vegas, La Femme, Mac deMarco, Forest Swords, David August, Liars, Fuck Buttons, Nicola Cruz, Sama’, Afrodeutsche, Ellen Allien, Optimo, Tuxedomoon, Son Lux, Swans, Andy Stott, Debonair and many more.
Aside from a line-up celebrating a broad mix of styles and quality, Plisskën also continues to push the boundaries of their environmental and social ethos. Plisskën is considered as the most innovative and exciting multi-genre festival of Athenian Summers.
