Poster design and visual identity for “Finish Line”, a documentary by Eliana Abravanel about the lives of three dedicated marathon runners living in opposite corners of Greece. In the midst of political change and crippling financial instability, the three protagonists somehow manage to nab that perfect pace that renders the finish line irrelevant.
The inspiration behind this project was classic marathon running imagery. Our goal was to design a poster that could easily morph into a logo, creating a distinct visual identity.
In the artwork, the finish line strikes through the documentary title spelled out in extra large font, an element that runs through every single application, keeping the project cohesive.
The silhouettes of the three main characters propose a visual representation of the storyline, beautifully complementing the filmmaker’s emotional narrative.
After establishing a powerful brand thanks to a show-stopping poster, the project expanded into flyers, invitations, pins, T-shirts, flags and tote bags.
